The pivotal moment in Edon’s musical career was meeting the legendary Roberta Flack (Flack wrote the song Killing me Softly, and has worked with Michael Jackson, The Beatles, Stevie Wonder and many others) Having worked the summer of 2014 at the Dakota as a Janitor / custodian, Edon’s chance encounter came… Meeting Flack in the building’s elevator gave him the opportunity to sing for of her. (In his work uniform as Edon was working the overnight shift) She was so impressed that she decided, Edon should not have to clean toilets for a living any longer. Flack spent the entire summer singing and writing songs with Edon, as she strongly believed he could have a long and everlasting career in the music industry. Till today (2022) Roberta Flack follows and keeps in touch with Edon.

"Edon Molla has the ability to be the biggest name in music. His work ethic is absolutely ridiculous. I will never forget meeting him in the summer of 2014. At the time he was working as a porter in the building I lived in and he would see me at 5 Am and beg for me to listen to him sing. No one does that. No one in their right mind wants to sing at 5 Am. I spent the remainder of the summer training him. This boy is special and the world will hear him one day." - Roberta Flack

Prior to his music career, Edon played Basketball and won 2 National High-school championships at St Anthony High-school and went on to play NCAA Division 1 basketball under St Francis College.
